 Black Teas

Assam CTC - Organic

This fast-steeping Organic tea from the Assam region of India is known around the world for its full-bodied flavor that combines well with milk. This grade is found in a host of English and Irish morning blends. Think of it as comfort food! CTC stands for Cut-Tear-Curl, a process invented by the English when they established many of the gardens in India and Sri Lanka. The tea leaves are put through a Rotor vane machine which eviscerates the leaves. This makes a finished tea which is concentrated into tiny pellets. This ensures a fast steep and a bold cup of tea that is filled with tannins that love to bind with milk.

Ceylon – Lover’s Leap

Located in Sri Lanka's mountainous region of Nuwara Eliya, Lover's Leap Estate looks out into the clouds. Local lore says that the high and rocky cliff on the estate is where two lovers, a prince and a commoner, leaped to their deaths when they were forbidden to marry, hence the name Lover's Leap. The large, black twisted leaves from this garden brew into a light amber cup with a forest aroma and a smooth and mellow taste. Makes a great breakfast tea or an excellent hot beverage for your next afternoon tea.

English Breakfast

Traced back to the black tea the English drank regularly in the 1800’s. It is simply, China Black 100% Keemun.

Earl Grey

This is tea is perhaps the most famous tea in the world, originally inspired by the British Prime Minister, Earl Grey. Our popular blend uses teas from India and China, blended with natural oil of bergamot.

Duchess Grey 

If you are a friend of Lady Grey, you'll love this blend with lots of citrus notes. We take traditional Earl Grey to a more sophisticated level with this beautiful Sri Lankan black tea blended with lemon peel, orange peel, rose petals, organic oil of bergamot flavoring, and blue cornflower petals. It's as delicious as it is beautiful. What an aroma!

Darjeeling

Our Darjeeling tea is a blend of First Flush and Autumnal teas from the best gardens yielding a light color in the cup, a fragrant nose.

Black Cask Bourbon

With Black Cask Bourbon, we set out to combine the full body and intense aromas of black tea with the rich flavors of finely aged bourbon. The result is simple and stunning: prominent bourbon notes of vanilla, caramel, and smoky oak cask layered atop a smoky black tea base. Perfect for sipping slow and steady, as a bourbon should be.

Paris 

In homage to the city, Paris is a fruity black tea with vanilla and caramel flavors, and a hint of lemony bergamot. 

Victorian London Fog

London Fog originated during the Victorian era. Traditionally, it is an Earl Grey served with steamed milk. This is a blend of Black tea, oolong tea, bergamot oil, lavender and vanilla flavor.

Southern Pecan

This delicious black tea is filled with pecans and all the flavors of one of the south's favorite pies! Made with Ghirardelli white chocolate!

Mango

This refreshingly fruity brew features a base of hearty, full-bodied black tea blended with fresh flavors of mango and mango pieces. The result is a beautifully tropical blend rich and silky in texture.

Peach

This fruity blend is composed of rich Sri Lankan black tea with dried peaches, apricots, and papaya. What an aroma it will make in your cup!

French Vanilla

We've flavored our full-bodied Sri Lankan Black Tea with delicious and aromatic hints of vanilla bean. How enticing! Makes a great pairing with desserts.

Chocolate Caramel

Indian Chai

Masala Chai literally means "tea with spices" in Hindi. Our blend is the real thing - loaded with aromatic spices. Of course, this tea is made to be drunk with milk and sugar.

Chocolate Chai 

Combines the flavors of a classic chai with rich chocolate and vanilla beginning with a base of blended Chinese and Indian black teas, then add – ginger root, cardamom seeds and pods, cinnamon (ground and in chips) and nutmeg. Bloom House Blend (Butterfly Blue Pea)

Butterfly blue pea flower, the base for the blue color of this colorful concoction is believed to possess anti-aging properties. We've added anise, fennel, and licorice to give the resulting tea a lingering sweet finish.

Pink Bubblegum Rooibos

Really, did we say “Bubblegum?” Yes, and you’ll be surprised by this new flavored green rooibos blend! Just one sniff of this brewed tea and great memories may arise of your youthful self, chomping on bubblegum and competing to see who could blow the biggest bubble! This delicious vibrant, reddish pink cup brews to a sweet bubblegum flavor with a slightly tart fruity finish.

Red Velvet Cupcake Rooibos

Thai Rooibos

Thai Rooibos is our spicy blend of caffeine-free herbs and spices, including Rooibos (pronounced “roy-boss” is a caffeine-free plant found in South Africa. The leaves are oxidized which develops a deep red color once steeped, similar to black tea.) with cinnamon, ginger, coconut and lemongrass. This earthy blend is quite lively highlighting citrus and fruity flavors, with exotic aromas of coconut and ginger.

Vanilla Rooibos

Rooibos, or red tea, is a favorite beverage in South Africa. We've enhanced this full-bodied caffeine-free herbal with a bit of French vanilla and almond slivers. Oh là là!
